Radiator Flush Do I Need To Change Thermostat?

Q: I need a thermostat replacement, will they automatically do the coolant flush?

I have a check engine low-cal. I was told I needed a new thermostat. Tin I simply replace the thermostat? Does the service come up with a coolent flush and practice I need that?

My motorcar has 12200 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
